Dried Fig and Blue Cheese Pizzettes

These pizzettes are perfect for taking to a party or supper club. You can assemble them ahead of time and take them on a baking sheet. They bake in just 12 minutes!

Dried Fig and Blue Cheese Pizzettes

Ingredients
  1. 3 tablespoons plain white cornmeal
  2. 10 dried figs
  3. 8 ounces fresh pizza dough, at room temperature
  4. 3 to 4 slices prosciutto, torn into small pieces
  5. 1⁄2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  6. Olive oil and fresh basil leaves, to serve
Instructions
  1. FIRST Preheat oven to 400°. On a large rimmed baking sheet, evenly sprinkle cornmeal. Set aside. In a small bowl, place figs; cover with hot water. Let stand 10 minutes. Drain; thinly slice.
  2. NEXT Divide dough into 20 (11⁄2-inch) balls; shape into 21⁄2-inch rounds. Place rounds 1 inch apart on prepared pan. Top each round with a piece of prosciutto, 2 to 3 fig slices, and a heaping teaspoon of blue cheese. Bake on center rack until edges are lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes.
  3. LAST Arrange pizzettes on a serving platter. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with basil.
