Harvested from the inner bark of its namesake tree, cinnamon has been treasured for thousands of years for its ability to both enhance and mask flavors. Desire for this highly sought-after spice inspired explorers to search the globe for new sources, leading to the discovery of the New World. Cinnamon is no less popular today—whether it’s stirred into a velvety frosting or baked into cookies and cake layers, its standout richness always fills us with comfort and joy, especially in desserts or breakfast items, like these Cinnamon-Raisin Biscuits.
