Jumbo Pigs in a Blanket

Makes 16 servings
Ingredients
  • 16 jalapeño-Cheddar smoked sausages, patted dry All-purpose flour
  • 2 (12-ounce) packages refrigerated butter flake crescent rolls
  • 8 tablespoons honey mustard, plus more to serve
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • Everything bagel seasoning
  • Fries and ketchup, to serve
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Preheat a grill to medium heat (300° to 350°), or heat a cast-iron grill pan over medium heat.
  3. Lightly score each sausage with 3 slits. Place on grill or grill pan, and cook, turning occasionally, until browned, 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. On a lightly floured work surface, unroll and separate dough along perforations into triangles. Brush each triangle with ½ tablespoon honey mustard. Place a sausage at base of each triangle, and roll up. Place on prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Brush egg on top of dough. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  6. Bake until rolls are browned, puffed, and cooked through, 15 to 20 minutes, covering with foil after 10 minutes of baking to prevent excess browning. Serve with fries, ketchup, and mustard.
