Onion Casserole
Ingredients
- 5 large Vidalia onions (sliced)
- 1 stick salted butter (melted)
- 1 (4-ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
- ⅓ cup whole milk
- 4 strips bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 1 (4-ounce) jar diced pimientos (drained)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese (grated)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- Place onion in a 13x9-inch casserole dish and drizzle with melted butter.
- In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, milk, bacon, pimientos, salt, and pepper. (The mixture should be thick like a paste.) Spread cream cheese mixture over onions and cover with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with Cheddar. Pop the casserole back in the oven and bake until cheese is melted.
