  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and divided
  • 1½ cups sour cream
  • 1 cup sliced green onion
  • ½ teaspoon Creole seasoning

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and baking soda. Add 6 tablespoons melted butter in a slow, steady stream, whisking constantly, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in green onion and sour cream until a shaggy dough forms. Spoon 8 (½-cup) spoonfuls of batter 1½ inches apart onto prepared pan.
  3. Bake until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, stir together Creole seasoning and remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter, and brush on top of biscuits. Serve with Shrimp and Tomato Gravy, and garnish with green onion, if desired.
