Chocolate Chip Biscuits with White Chocolate Gravy
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream, divided
- ¾ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- White Chocolate Gravy (recipe follows) and fresh strawberries, to serve
- Preheat oven to 400°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In the work bowl of a food processor, pulse flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined. Add cold butter, and pulse until mixture is crumbly.
- Transfer mixture to a large bowl. Fold in 1 cup cream and chocolate chips until just combined. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface, and knead just until dough comes together. Pat or roll dough to 1-inch thickness. Using a 2½-inch round cutter dipped in flour, cut 8 rounds from dough without twisting cutter, rerolling scraps as necessary. Place on prepared pan or in a skillet. Freeze until cold, about 15 minutes.
- Brush tops of biscuits with remaining 1 tablespoon cream.
- Bake until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Serve with White Chocolate Gravy and strawberries.
