Onion Casserole
 
Ingredients
  • 5 large Vidalia onions (sliced)
  • 1 stick salted butter (melted)
  • 1 (4-ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
  • ⅓ cup whole milk
  • 4 strips bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1 (4-ounce) jar diced pimientos (drained)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese (grated)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Place onion in a 13x9-inch casserole dish and drizzle with melted butter.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, milk, bacon, pimientos, salt, and pepper. (The mixture should be thick like a paste.) Spread cream cheese mixture over onions and cover with foil.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with Cheddar. Pop the casserole back in the oven and bake until cheese is melted.
