Turkey Gravy
 
Makes about 2½ cups
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1¾ cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup turkey drippings or chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour, and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in ¾ cup broth and turkey drippings. Cook, whisking constantly, until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Add remaining 1 cup broth. Cook, whisking constantly, until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in pepper. Serve warm.
