In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags; cover and let stand for 3 to 5 minutes (or longer for a stronger tea). Discard tea bags. Pour into a pitcher. Stir in remaining 4 cups water, lemonade, and sugar to taste. Stir in almond extract. Cover and refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice. Garnish with mint and lemon slices, if desired.
