Baked Brie with Pears

This Baked Brie is topped with a browned butter and fresh pear sauce and served with gingersnaps to combine sweet and savory flavors.

Ingredients
  1. 1 (8-ounce) round of Brie
  2. 3 tablespoons butter
  3. 1 large pear, sliced
  4. 2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
  5. 2 tablespoons pear vinegar
  6. 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  7. Gingersnaps
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Place Brie in an ovenproof dish. Bake until Brie is softened, 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add pear slices to butter. Cook until pears begin to turn translucent along edges, 2 to 3 minutes. Add brown sugar, vinegar, and salt to pan, stirring to combine. Cook until sauce begins to reduce, 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over hot Brie. Serve immediately with gingersnaps.
