German Chocolate Macaroons

Ingredients
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 4 cups sweetened flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped, toasted pecans
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped
Instructions
- In the top half of a double boiler, cook condensed milk over medium heat until golden, approximately 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 325°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine condensed milk, coconut, pecans, and vanilla, stirring well. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto prepared pan.
- Bake until lightly golden, approximately 16 minutes. Let cool on pan.
- In a small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate in 30-second intervals until melted. Drizzle over macaroons. Let cool completely.
