Traditional Peach Cobbler
Makes 8 Servings

- 5 cups sliced fresh peaches or 2 (20-ounce) packages frozen sliced peaches, thawed
- 1½ cups granulated sugar, divided
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour, divided
- ½ teaspoon almond extract

- Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls evenly over peach mixture. Sprinkle with sparkling sugar.
- Bake until browned and bubbly, 40 to 45 minutes, covering with foil as needed to prevent over browning. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving
