Brenda Gantt’s Alabama Firecrackers are the perfect winter snack thanks to a little zing packing big flavor.
Alabama Firecrackers

Ingredients
- 1 cup canola oil or olive oil
- 3 tablespoons or 1 (1-ounce) package ranch dressing mix
- 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 package unsalted saltine crackers (all 4 sleeves)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Mix together oil, ranch dressing mix, crushed red pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground red pepper.
- Place crackers in a roasting pan. Evenly pour oil mixture over the crackers, gently stirring.
- Bake for 25 minutes. Gently stir crackers after 15 minutes so that oil mixture is distributed over each cracker. Let cool completely and store in a resealable plastic bag or sealed container.
