Brenda Gantt’s Alabama Firecrackers

Brenda Gantt’s Alabama Firecrackers are the perfect winter snack thanks to a little zing packing big flavor. 

Alabama Firecrackers
 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup canola oil or olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons or 1 (1-ounce) package ranch dressing mix
  • 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 package unsalted saltine crackers (all 4 sleeves)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Mix together oil, ranch dressing mix, crushed red pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground red pepper.
  3. Place crackers in a roasting pan. Evenly pour oil mixture over the crackers, gently stirring.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes. Gently stir crackers after 15 minutes so that oil mixture is distributed over each cracker. Let cool completely and store in a resealable plastic bag or sealed container.
