Jalapeño Popper Sausage Balls
Makes about 40
Ingredients
- 1 pound pork sausage (mild or hot)
- 2 cups all-purpose baking mix
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1½ cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- ½ cup chopped cooked bacon (about 5 slices)
- ½ cup finely chopped seeded jalapeño
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
- Ranch dressing, jalapeño slices, and chopped fresh parsley, to serve
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°. Line 2 large baking sheets with foil.
- In a large bowl, stir together sausage, baking mix, cream cheese, Cheddar, bacon, chopped jalapeño, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, and salt until well combined. Using a 2-tablespoon spring-loaded scoop, scoop mixture, and roll smooth with lightly floured hands. Place 1 inch apart on prepared pans.
- Bake until golden brown, 18 to 20 minutes. Serve with ranch dressing, jalapeño slices, and parsley.

Thank you for reaching out. We would recommend buying a gluten-free baking mix. Bisquick and King Arthur Flour both make a gluten-free baking mix. You can substitute either of those mixes cup for cup in this recipe. Enjoy!
