Sage Butter-Roasted Oysters

Ingredients
- Rock salt
- 12 oysters on half shell
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh sage
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Lemon wedges, to serve
- Garnish: fresh sage
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°.
- In 12-inch cast-iron skillet, pour a thick layer of rock salt. Arrange oysters on top.
- In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, sage, kosher salt, and lemon zest. Spoon butter mixture over oysters, and sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake until golden brown and bubbly, 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with lemon wedges. Garnish with sage, if desired.
