Slow-Cooked Country-Style Pork Ribs

Country-style pork ribs are slow-cooked to perfection in a savory, flavorful sauce.

Slow-Cooked Country-Style Pork Ribs
 
Makes 4 Servings
Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 pounds country-style pork ribs or pork butt country style ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons barbecue rub seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed
  • Barbecue sauce, coleslaw, and baked beans, to serve
Instructions
  1. Sprinkle salt on both sides of ribs.
  2. In a medium skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add ribs in batches, and cook until browned, about 3 minutes per side.
  3. In a 6-quart slow cooker, place ribs in an even layer.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, soy sauce, barbecue rub, paprika, and garlic. Pour over ribs. Cover and cook on high until ribs are tender, 4 to 5 hours. Remove ribs; serve with barbecue sauce, slaw, and beans.
