Maple-Pecan Sticky Buns
Makes 16
Ingredients
- 3 cups self-rising flour, plus more for dusting
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1¾ cups heavy whipping cream, divided
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¾ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1½ cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°. Spray a 9-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and granulated sugar. Stir in 1½ cups cold cream. Knead in bowl until a dough forms.
- Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll to a scant ¾-inch thickness. Using a 2-inch round cutter, cut dough, rerolling scraps as needed. Refrigerate on a baking sheet until ready to use.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar, maple syrup, salt, and remaining ¼ cup cream. Cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil. Pour into prepared pan, and sprinkle with pecans. Arrange dough in a single layer in pan.
- Bake until biscuits are golden brown, 17 to 20 minutes. Carefully invert onto a serving platter. Serve warm.
