Crispy bacon, juicy hot dogs, and a mountain of toppings make this the ultimate summer treat.
Bacon-and-Bean Dogs
Makes 8 Servings
Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon
- 8 jumbo hot dogs
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon stone-ground mustard
- 1 (8.3-ounce) can baked beans, warmed
- 8 pretzel hot dog buns, warmed
- ½ cup diced tomato
- ½ cup diced sweet onion
- ¼ cup pickled sweet jalapeños
- Tater Tots, to serve
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
- Heat a grill pan over medium heat.
- Wrap 1 slice of bacon around each hot dog, and secure ends with wooden picks. Add to grill pan, and cook, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 15 minutes. Transfer to prepared baking sheet.
- Bake until golden brown and crispy, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove wooden picks.
- In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, hot sauce, and mustard until smooth.
- Spread baked beans into buns, and top with hot dogs. Top with mayonnaise mixture, tomato, onion, and jalapeños. Serve with Tater Tots.
